News from Birmingham Clarion Singers
"Birmingham Clarion Singers have been in existence since 1940, when our founder, Dr Colin Bradsworth, returned from the Spanish Civil War. We have had an astonishing history, with many talented members and associates over the decades, and aside from the 2020 lockdown, have performed regularly without a break.
We already have several dates lined up this year, including
An International Women's Day event for Sutton Labour Party.
A Townsend Productions play about the Clarion movement.
Cradley Heath Chainmakers Festival. and Hiroshima Day with West Midlands CND".
We also hold one or two larger concerts a year.
We meet regularly every Weds eve at All Saints in Kings Heath, Birmingham, and are always happy to meet new singers with similar socialist values (especially bass and tenor voices!) We don't audition, just ask for a commitment to our rehearsals and performances.
